Ivybank Vets is a small-animal practice that advertises emergency veterinary services (24/7 or extended hours). Based on the latest reviews available, owners mention both routine care (first-time visits, ongoing care over years) and surgical work with follow-up—including a ferret tail amputation with subsequent post-op checks. Feedback is mostly positive about staff interactions (reception, nurses, vets), but there is a clear price-related complaint in one reviewer’s posts, alleging pressure to accept “unnecessary treatments.”

My wife and me have three ferrets, all of which have been with the practice in West Kilbride since we got them six years ago. Our big albino boy Oliver had to go in for a tail amputation less than two weeks ago. The care he received was excellent and there have been no issues with the op. Had his last post op check today (22/03/24) and Dan was very pleased with how things went. He definetely has an understanding of ferrets and as an owner that means a lot. From reception to the vet nurses we've found them all to be excellent, efficient and friendly. Just the very people you want to have looking after your pets.

I really liked all the staff at this vets. I was there for the first time and was made welcome. The vet was familiar with all the notes from my previous vet and I was very happy with how she looked after my dog Buddy.
