My cat, Fresha passed away recently, and the staff at Betavet Alloa were incredibly kind. They took care of her with so much respect and didn’t charge me anything. I’ll always remember that gesture — true compassion still exists.

One of my cats appeared to have an issue with his teeth so I booked an appointment online and was pleased that it was only 48 hours before the practice could see him. The nurse called us in on time and performed a full check up, i.e. weight, teeth, bowels etc. Fortunately there were no issues so the episode was put down to a change of routine (I'd been away & asked a friend to visit/feed) and I left with a feeling of relief. Great service yet again.

Well looked after extremely punctual always friendly and inviting always have the best interest of your pet inhand I travel from Glasgow to this vet as I find the services better than those ive visited in Glasgow and the staff are extremely polite

A Consistently Great Experience at Medivet. I’ve been a loyal client of Medivet, previously called Betavet, for the past eight years, registering all of my babies (pets) with them since I first moved to the area. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of watching the practice grow while consistently providing excellent care for my babies. From the moment I walk in, the staff always greets me and my babies with warmth and professionalism, and they even remember their names! The reception team is friendly and efficient, making appointment scheduling quick and easy. They’ve also been fantastic at reminding me of upcoming vaccinations or check-ups, ensuring my babies stay on top of their health needs. One of the standout members of the team is Dr. Charlotte. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable about cats, but she has such a kind and calming presence that my cats adore her, especially Milo! In fact, he actually enjoy going to the vet—something I never thought I’d say! She has a real understanding of feline behavior and it’s clear that she truly cares about each cat’s comfort and well-being. Charlotte has also done something really special at the practice—she’s decorated the cat clinic, and it’s absolutely gorgeous. The room smells lovely, and the calming atmosphere she’s created really makes a difference. The design is so thoughtful, with cozy touches and a peaceful ambiance that helps both the cats and owners feel at ease. It’s one of those little things that makes a huge impact on the overall experience. When Milo was dealing with a specific behavioural and health issue, Charlotte’s expertise and patience were invaluable. She took the time to explain everything to me, including some changes at home, and she provided a treatment plan for him, and he is now like a different boy!! I’ve never felt so supported as a cat owner, and I’m so grateful for the care Charlotte provides. The other vets at the practice are also fantastic, and I appreciate how they always take the time to thoroughly explain any concerns I may have. I’ve had a range of experiences over the years—from routine check-ups and vaccinations to more serious issues requiring surgery or long-term management—and I’ve always felt confident that my babies are in great hands. The main vets facilities are always clean, and I’ve noticed that they’ve made a real effort to keep things up to date with the latest equipment. The nurses and support staff are equally wonderful—they take their time to make sure my babies are comfortable, even when they’re nervous or anxious. All in all, I couldn’t be happier with the care my babies receive at Medivet. Their consistency, professionalism, and genuine love for animals have made them my go-to choice for all my babies’ veterinary needs. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate and reliable veterinary care.
