Linnaeus Veterinary Ltd, operating as Veterinary Vision, is based in Newton Mearns, Glasgow, and is recognized for its specialization in veterinary ophthalmology. The clinic is not only a treatment center but also serves as a veterinary nurse training facility, indicating a commitment to education and professional development within the field.
With a commendable rating of 4.8 stars from 53 reviews on Google Maps, Veterinary Vision is generally well-regarded among its clientele. The majority of the reviews praise the clinic for its professionalism, expertise, and compassionate care. For instance, Helen Roberts and Melanie Court highlight the clinic's long-term commitment and success in treating complex ocular issues in pets, emphasizing the staff's friendliness and effectiveness. Kirstin Ramsay notes the welcoming atmosphere and the clarity with which procedures and treatments are explained, underscoring the supportive environment provided by the team, including standout staff members like Gladys at reception.
However, the clinic's reputation isn't without blemish. Alessandra Agosti’s review presents a contrasting perspective, expressing dissatisfaction with the financial aspects of the clinic's services. Agosti describes a lack of transparency regarding costs and additional fees, which led to frustration and disappointment after a costly cataract surgery yielded unsatisfactory results for their pet. This review underscores the importance of clear communication regarding pricing to ensure client satisfaction.
Overall, Veterinary Vision is recognized for its specialized care and professional service, though potential clients are advised to seek clarity on pricing to avoid any unexpected fees.

Chai has received nothing but undivided attention from Vetinary Vision. Glady's is a joy to speak with on every visit and extremely helpful. The surgeons and nurses did an incredible job at saving Chai's eye, which to me, looked irreparable through ulceration. You can tell how much every person in Vetinary Vision cares about Chai and all animals that come in for treatment. Chai go her eye folds removed, skin tightened around her eyes as well to prevent future ulcers, I feel this has worked very well.

Was referred here with my dog Cleo who ended up needing surgery and then get treatment for an ulcer. Can't fault the team here at Glasgow they do amazing work. You are definitely made to feel welcome from the minute you walk through the door, Gladys on reception is wonderful and had a lot of patience for my very nervous pup. The vets and nurses explained everything very clearly and treatment was prompt. If I ever need to return I know Cleo will be in good hands

Had to emergency drive from Glasgow to Penrith, 3 staff in on a Saturday waiting on us. Super friendly, relaxing and experienced. Worth every penny and the 2 hour drive! Seriously fantastic service. Wee man now back home with treatment plan and way forward… so grateful. These guys seriously know what they are doing! Sean & Rachel’s knowledge is incredible.

A big rip off We have spent an incredible amount of money for a surgery to remove cataract. From day one it was clear everything they care about is money. Our dog has received the surgery in January we are nearly May and I don’t think she can see very good at all. Not just that everything is money they give you a price but they forgot to tell you that this and that is not included and this on the day of the surgery which makes it really awkward. Every visit after that even the one you would expect to be included you have to pay for and every time is over 100 pound I asked for a prescription to be sent via email so I can save some money and they did sent it, but 2 weeks later they ask for a 30 pound prescription fee which was not mentioned during the call I had when I ordered it l. I am so angry with the all system of ripping off they have in place. Not happy at all after spending 7000 pound if not more. I have been told that if I don’t pay the 30 pound they won’t see my dog again. They insisted I have been told about the fee but they never told me. I wouldn’t leave this review if they had especially after having paid so much money for everything. Absolutely ridiculous the way I have been treated by the receptionist, very unfriendly insisting that I have been told. Not a way to treat customer like the way they treated us. I have other dogs I would have brought to get checked and eventually treated, absolutely not after the way they treated me They have lost a customer they obviously don’t care.
