Amazing vet - I've registered 5 pets (cats and dogs) over a few years with Shore and had the best experience each and every time. Every staff member from the lovely receptionists (Eve and Kerry) to the amazing vets (Deborah and Kate), as well as the other staff, give you their full attention, time and care every visit. The compassion they showed when my elderly cat was put to sleep and my puppy sadly passed away was second to none. I couldn't recommend this vet more. Added bonus is they are the only vet in Inverclyde (that I know) to offer the Pet Health Club, which is cost effective for vaccinations, parasite treatment, routine health checks, emergency consultations, plus loads more. Amazing vet practice.

I cannot thank Shore Vets in Gourock enough for the compassion, dignity, and kindness they showed me and my beloved pug, Bailey. From start to finish, every member of staff was outstanding — gentle, respectful, and incredibly supportive during one of the hardest moments of my life. They guided me through every step and gave Bailey the calm, loving send-off he deserved as I helped my boy cross the bridge on 31/12/25. Nothing felt rushed, and their empathy made an unbearable situation just that little bit easier to cope with. I will always be grateful for the care and respect shown to both Bailey and myself. Single handedly the best vets I've ever taken my pets to. My border collie is a very nervous rescue and the team couldn't be more accommodating. I've never been made to feel like a burden or ashamed like I have at other vets. Thank you so much!

I had my first visit to Shore Vets this evening with my dog. I called quite close to closing time; but the staff were so accommodating and I was able to take her in at the end of surgery (despite meaning they left late as a result). The vet gave her a really thorough examination and was so informative- really great! Thank you so much; everyone’s attention was very much appreciated. ☺️ Amazing first experience & would not hesitate to recommend.

I’ve been coming to their practice almost since Nigel opened it and wouldn’t go anywhere else. He’s taken care of all my cats with the most gentle loving care as did Bobby. All the staff are most helpful and caring and take time to answer any questions I might have, everyone goes the extra mile to make sure they do everything possible for my cats. I can’t thank them enough for all they’ve done.

Always made welcome when we visit. Bertie always rushes to the door to go inside. I think he enjoys the attention and treats best! If I have any worries or questions they are always answered or advice given for Berties benefit. I am very happy with the service we receive and reassured that I can phone for an appointment and will usually be seen as soon as possible.
