I’m sorry I don’t remember the vet’s name, but she took great care of Honey, who calmed down as soon as she stroked her and didn’t seem to feel the injection. The only thing she refused was the Lick-e-Lix 🤣🤣 and that’s NOT like her. I must thank the vet for taking time to explain everything and what happens next and the fact that I get a discount for Honey’s op and the chip is included. So Honey and I thank her and looking forward to seeing her next time. Elspeth

Fantastic vet, I was seen immediately on a Saturday and I wasn’t registered with them as I was visiting from England. The vet helped me with my dog’s skin complaint which made my weekend a lot less stressful! They asked for his records to be emailed to them so they could check there were no contraindications. Really friendly and professional, thank you!

We've been using Shore vets since our Alfie was born. The staff have always been very friendly and professional. Alfie absolutely loves going there and always greets the staff with an excited tail wag and bark! And they always appear very happy to see him too. I particularly like how we receive reminders for appointments, that's a nice touch, and necessary for me!! We hope to be attending Shore vets for many years to come, and I know that Alfie hopes so too.

Excellent and outstanding care last night in Shore Vets when my little pug took unwell. Huge efforts were used to help her- in fact I was there for an hour and a half and staff stayed on well after closing time to ensure that Zara was well enough to be treated at home. I’m eternally grateful.

Amazing vet - I've registered 5 pets (cats and dogs) over a few years with Shore and had the best experience each and every time. Every staff member from the lovely receptionists (Eve and Kerry) to the amazing vets (Deborah and Kate), as well as the other staff, give you their full attention, time and care every visit. The compassion they showed when my elderly cat was put to sleep and my puppy sadly passed away was second to none. I couldn't recommend this vet more. Added bonus is they are the only vet in Inverclyde (that I know) to offer the Pet Health Club, which is cost effective for vaccinations, parasite treatment, routine health checks, emergency consultations, plus loads more. Amazing vet practice.

I cannot thank Shore Vets in Gourock enough for the compassion, dignity, and kindness they showed me and my beloved pug, Bailey. From start to finish, every member of staff was outstanding — gentle, respectful, and incredibly supportive during one of the hardest moments of my life. They guided me through every step and gave Bailey the calm, loving send-off he deserved as I helped my boy cross the bridge on 31/12/25. Nothing felt rushed, and their empathy made an unbearable situation just that little bit easier to cope with. I will always be grateful for the care and respect shown to both Bailey and myself.
