We had a bit of an emergency when our dog ate something she shouldn't have. They're not our usual registered vets as we were visiting family. Albavets saw us quickly and the staff were really helpful and reassuring. They explained clearly what they'd do, and will also send the notes to our usual vet, which is helpful. The price for the emergency consultation was very fair.

Having read the previous review I felt the need to add my own regarding my recent experience. This week we lost our very precious little dog Christy. For the past almost 14 years she has been an absolute joy and constant companion. When I rang the practice at 8am to say how ill Christy was I was told to bring her in immediately. From walking through that door at 8.20am the staff -from the receptionists to the nurses and vets, couldn't have been more supportive. Whilst we all have our own individual experiences, I would just like to say that I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. I would like to thank all of the staff who were there and who supported me at such an horrendous time, your kindness was amazing. Thankyou

Lovely little veterinary surgery. I felt welcome as soon as I walked through the door. The reception ladies were very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable and told me where to sit. The vet himself was brilliant. He took very good care of my cat and made sure that I was fully aware of everything that was going on and explained the whole procedure to me and checked that I understood. this veterinary surgery also accepts the cat's protection vouchers towards the cost of neutering which I think is fantastic as it can be very expensive. The prices at these vets is very reasonable. Throughout my entire visit to these vets, I felt welcome and at ease. I was asked when my cat had had her vaccinations so they could send me a reminder for her annual booster. I think this is a brilliant thing as it's very easy for people to forget when their pets are due their vaccinations. The whole place is clean and tidy and the waiting room has a separate area for cats so that they can sit away from dogs and other animals which is brilliant cos it causes less stress. My cat was in for a pre-op assessment which not all vets offer before surgery and it's included in the price of the surgery which I think is fantastic. I'd highly recommend this veterinary surgery to anyone that's looking for a vet in Kirkcaldy.

Had used their services previously when having our kitten Butters neutered, but last week we had to phone Albavet in an emergency as our old cat Meo, was having difficulty breathing. We were made to feel at ease and treated with understanding and care. Given appointment immediately and throughout Meo's treatment we were updated whenever there were any changes and given options for continuing her treatment. Unfortunately during one of these calls Meo passed away. The staff were absolutely amazing, consoling me as I cried and tried to relay the news to my wife. Afterwards they told us during an examination afterwards, she had a growth on her lung which they suspected may have been cancerous, which had ruptured and caused trouble breathing. Professional, not out to make a quick quid, they treated us and our beloved Meo with respect and care. We all thank you for your care in Meo's last moments. We will be returning with Butters for general health enquiries, hopefully nothing serious, but we can rest assured if needed they are there ready to help our furry friends. Meo 2009 - 2022
