About Veterinary Care in Haddington
Haddington has 3 veterinary clinics, with a very strong average Google rating of 4.9 from 534 reviews. That gives pet owners a small but well-reviewed set of options. One practical thing to know is that weekend opening is limited, so it helps to check weekday hours and emergency arrangements before you register.
Our Score compares visible clinics in this country. The transparency part of the score is how many services the clinic has published, measured against the highest number published by a visible clinic in the same country. This town is in Scotland.

For dog and cat owners, Haddington offers a small but reassuring choice of vets. You are not comparing lots of branches, so the search should feel manageable, and the overall review picture is strong enough to suggest a good standard of everyday care. In a town this size, the best fit may come down to appointment times, how easy the clinic is to reach, and how comfortable you feel with the team.
The bigger gap is transparency. None of the top options are verified yet, so treat online listing details as a starting point and confirm the basics yourself. Ask about current opening hours, who handles follow-up care, and what support is available if your pet is seen urgently. Weekend access is limited in Haddington, but emergency or out-of-hours care is available, which is useful to know before you register.
If you are choosing between vets in Haddington, a quick phone call can tell you more than a long online search. Ask how soon they can offer a routine appointment for a new dog or cat, how they handle nervous pets, and what the handover looks like if your pet needs evening or out-of-hours help. If you also keep another species at home, check that at the same time, since Haddington appears to offer a broader mix of pet care than some very small towns.
