Shetland Vets is an independent veterinary clinic founded in 1985, with three surgeries and a “24 hour service” stated on its website. It appears set up as a mixed practice: the website lists care for pets, equine, and farm animals, alongside “Isles visits.” In the latest reviews available to us, owners most often describe being seen quickly for urgent problems and being talked through aftercare—one detailed account mentions an emergency appointment for a dog with a large bite wound, with staff handling a frightened dog gently and keeping owners at ease with the advice given. Clean kennels and a rest area are also specifically mentioned in that review.
4.9 stars from 51 reviews. The written reviews we have are overwhelmingly positive but mostly brief, with one detailed emergency-care account. “”

Very helpful and compassionate. All my dogs have used this vet. Nothing is too much trouble for the vets and staff.

Excellent care and compassion. Our dog had a large bite in his tummy and we were seen as an emergency. Throughout the consultation and the after care discussion we were at ease with the advice given. Fantastic way they treated our dog who was extremely frightened and upset by being attacked. Superb staff and extremely clean kennels and rest area. Can't recommend highly enough. Thank you.
